Yes, you can! & all the linked products to the category you disabled will be too.

You can disable a category by following these steps:

1. Log in to your store account via e-mail & password
2. From the Left Hand Side Menu, navigate to "Categories" and click on it
3. The "Manage Categories" interface will appear to you, navigate to the category you want to disable, and click on the statutes button so it turns to red
